DO Studios LLC — Terms & Conditions

By entering into a rental agreement with DO Studios LLC, registered in Muscat, Oman (CR number: 1495985), located at South Al Mabilah, Muscat, Oman (hereinafter referred to as "The Studio"), you, the undersigned (herein referred to as "The Client"), hereby affirm that you have read, fully understand, and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Booking Confirmation

A booking is not considered complete until payment has been made and our booking form has been filled out. At the time of payment, these Terms and Conditions are deemed agreed upon by the Client. On booking the Studio Premises, The Client accepts that he or she has checked that the studio is deemed suitable for the purposes of the hire. The studio premises and equipment are only available for the use of the named Client.

Length of Use

Rental periods (the "Rental Period") are predetermined at booking. The Client's Rental Period commences punctually at the specified starting time and concludes at the designated ending time. The Rental Period encompasses both setup and break-down. The studio premises must be cleaned and vacated by the conclusion of the rental period.

Punctuality and Overtime

The studio premises must be vacated promptly at the scheduled time, including setup, breakdown, cleanup, and pack-up, all of which are within the reserved time. Overtime fees amount to 20 OMR per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. For example, exceeding your allotted time by 1–15 minutes incurs a late fee of 5 OMR; 16–30 minutes incurs 10 OMR; and so on.

Cancellation Policy

A confirmed booking is non-refundable. Bookings may be rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours' notice before the original date. The rescheduled date must fall within 60 days of the original booking.

Terms of Use

  • The Client and related parties must read and adhere to on-site signage and staff instructions, and exhibit kindness towards all other clients.
  • The Studio is exclusively available for the use of the Client named in the booking. Subcontracting, subletting, or allowing any third party to use the Studio is prohibited.
  • The Studio is not soundproof, and no guarantees are made regarding audio capture quality. The Client acknowledges they have assessed the Studio's suitability for any audio components of their shoot.
  • Use of the Studio and Equipment is at the Client's own risk. The Client waives rights to seek legal redress for mishaps, accidents, or loss while on the premises.
  • The Client agrees to leave the studio premises and adjacent grounds in the same condition as upon arrival.
  • The Client is solely responsible for any legal infractions made during the shoot, whether inside the studio or on the grounds.
  • The Client holds The Studio, its owner, agents, representatives, and contractors harmless for any loss, accident, or injury to themselves or anyone accompanying them. The Client is responsible for the conduct and welfare of all persons accompanying them.
  • If the Company observes dangerous, pornographic, or negligent practices, it reserves the right to stop the shoot and require the Renter and party to leave immediately.

Breakages, Losses, and Damages

The Client assumes responsibility for all breakages, losses, or damages caused to the studio or equipment by themselves or any person from their team during the studio's use.

The Studio presumes The Client and crew are competent to use the equipment and facilities supplied. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure everyone on their team is qualified to operate the equipment. Any damages are the Client's liability.

The Studio commits to providing equipment in good working order but offers no specific guarantees regarding functionality or suitability for any particular purpose. The Client must notify DO Studios at the time of supply if the condition of the equipment or studio space is unacceptable. The Client will be charged the full replacement cost for any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment.

The Client is responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of their own equipment or property, and that of their guests.

Cleaning

General cleaning is covered by the studio hire rate. The studio must be returned to its original condition. If left in a messy state, a minimum cleaning fee of 30 OMR will apply.

To maintain the cleanliness of the cyclorama ("cyc") walls and floor, avoid stepping on the curved part of the wall and refrain from placing hands on the curve or surrounding walls. Any damage beyond reasonable wear (e.g. skid marks) will incur a repainting fee starting at 40 OMR, depending on the extent of the damage.

Health and Safety

The Client bears responsibility for the health and safety of their shoot, including conducting their own hazard evaluation. Before commencing work, Clients should familiarise themselves with the location of the marked fire exits. A First Aid Kit is provided on site. The studio does not supply personnel with First Aid qualifications; Clients should be prepared to administer first aid or seek external assistance as needed.

Capacity

Maximum capacity during any studio booking is limited to 10 people. Any additional persons beyond this limit will be asked to leave the premises.

Food and Drink

Consumption of food and drink is strictly prohibited within the Studio premises. These items may only be consumed in the designated areas.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere within the studio premises.

Parking

Free parking is available directly in front of the studio and on the side buildings. One parking space for offloading equipment is provided on request. The Studio disclaims responsibility for any parking penalties, damage, or theft of vehicles.

Usage of Behind-The-Scenes Media

The Company retains the right to use all pictures and behind-the-scenes media captured within the Studio for promotional purposes, including social media platforms, printed materials, and the company website. The Company will honour reasonable requests to refrain from sharing such media, especially if deemed confidential, until a specified date.

Section headings within these Terms and Conditions are provided for reference only and are not intended to describe, interpret, define, or limit the scope of any provision.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of The Sultanate of Oman. Any disputes arising from this agreement fall under the jurisdiction of the Courts of Law within the Sultanate of Oman.
